Sports Themes
One of the most popular themes at Bar Mitzvahs today is the sports theme. The Bar Mitzvah Boy selects a sport and the tables and room is decorated to highlight and show this theme. The tables may be decorated with different team logos, sports equipment used in this sport or blow-up figures of athletes who play the game.
Team posters, banners and equipment may also be displayed throughout the room. The party may also have sports games for the Bar Mitzvah guests to play. Videos may also be used to show highlights of the sport. However the highlight of the sports theme is to have a sports celebrity guest from the particular sport. The room is set and no one knows that the sports guest is going to be coming to the event. Then in a flash the MC announces we have a special guest and the athlete enters the room usually to a thunderous ovation and this Bar Mitzvah party will now be the talk of the town for the rest of the year.
