Stan Fischler, known as the "Hockey Maven" is best known as a hockey announcer and commentator for both the NY Islanders and the NJ Devils. Stan has authored or co-autored over 90 books. Elliott Maddox has played with both the NY Yankees and the NY Mets. Elliott's best year was in 1974 when he led the NY Yankees with a 303 batting average and had 141 hits and 69 walks in 137 games. Shawn Lipman has a long and distinguished career ibn the sport of Rugby. Shawn is the only Jewish player to ever play in the World Cup of Rugby. Shawn has represented the U.S. in over 20 international matches. Ron Blomberg was drafted by the New York Yankees as the #1 draft pick in the 1967 amateur draft. Ron played 8 seasons in the majors and had a lifetime batting average of 293. On Opening day of 1973 Ron became baseball's first designated hitter.
