Jake Lamotta, pictured above with Al Lerner in Jake's apartment, is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Jake compiled a record of 83 wins and 19 losses with 30 wins by knockout. Jake was the first man to beat Sugar Ray Robinson. Jake won the world Middleweight Championship in 1949. Jake's career was very controversial both in and out of the boxing ring. Jake's fame was resurrected in 1981, when Robert DeNiro portrayed him in the Academy Award winning film "Raging Bull".
