Neuqua Valley High School is a suburban high school outside of Chicago, Illinois. Each Year they run a fundraising dinner and auction to raise funds to help youngsters from the East Aurora area of Chicago. This year's event was held on Sunday February 10, 2008 at Walter Payton's Roundhouse. Lerner Sports Marketing arranged for the appearance of Brooks Robinson as the keynote speaker. As a result of Brooks' appearance, over 500 people attended the event and over $40,000 was raised for Neuqua Valley's Opportunities Through Baseball.
Funds for this program are distributed as follows:
- A Baseball camp: To bring 50 at-risk youth from the East Aurora area to a week-long camp for baseball skills development, mentoring, friendship and lunch.
