Tommy Lasorda and Al Lerner |
Tommy Lasorda was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. After a brief career as a pitcher, Tommy became a highly successful baseball manager with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tommy led the Dodgers to eight division titles and two World Championships. Tommy managed for twenty years and after his retirement he became an executive with the Dodger organization. He also managed the United States Olympic baseball team in 2000 and led the team to their first gold medal ever won in baseball.
