In the Yankee record book Roy ranks in the all-time top 20 Yankees in many offensive categories. Roy hit home runs from both sides of the plate in the same game five times. He was in double figures in steals in almost every season he played and set the American League record for most sacrifice flies in 1971 with 17. This was the first time a New York Yankee had ever played an errorless season. In 1979 he led the league in walks with 99 and in 1976 led the league in runs scored with 104.
