Warren Spahn played 21 seasons in the major leagues for the Boston/Milwaukee Braves, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants. He had a career record of 363 wins and 245 losses. His lifetime earned run average was 3.09 and he had 2583 strikeouts and 1434 bases on balls in his career. He was a member of the 1957 Milwaukee Braves championship team. He was a 14-time N.L. all-star between 1947-1963. He won the N.L. Cy Young Award in 1957 and the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award in 1961. He led the N.L. in ERA in 1947 (2.33), 1953 (2.10) and 1961 (3.02). He led the N.L. in wins in 1949 (21), 1950 (21), 1953 (23), 1957 (21), 1958 (22), 1959 (21), 1960 (21) and 1961 (21). He led the N.L. in strikeouts in 1949 (151), 1950 (191), 1951 (164) and 1952 (183). He led the league in shutouts in 1947 (7), 1951 (7), 1959 (4) and 1961 (4). Warren was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.
