Phil Rizzuto played 13 years in the major leagues for the New York Yankees. He had a lifetime batting average of .273 with 38 home runs, 239 doubles, 62 triples, 877 runs scored and 563 RBI’s in his major league career. He was a member of 7 New York Yankees championship teams: 1941, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953. He was a 5-time A.L. all-star. In 1950, he was voted Major League Player of the Year and A.L. MVP. In 1951, he was the recipient of the A.L. Babe Ruth Award. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994.
