Lindy McDaniel played 21 seasons in the major leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals. He had a career record of 141 wins, 119 losses and 172 saves. His lifetime earned run average was 3.45 and he had 1361 strikeouts and 623 bases on balls in his career. He was a member of the 1960 N.L. all-star team. He led the league in saves in 1959 (15), 1960 (26) and 1963 (22).
