Juan Marichal played 16 seasons in the major leagues for the San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox and L.A. Dodgers. He had a career record of 243 wins and 142 losses. His lifetime earned run average was 2.89 and he had 2303 strikeouts and 709 bases on balls in his career. He was a 9-time N.L. all-star from 1962 to 1971. In 1965 he was the all-star game MVP. He led the National League in wins in 1963 (25) and 1968 (26). He also led the league in ERA in 1969 (2.10). He led the league in shutouts in 1965 (10) and 1969 (8). Juan was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
