Mickey Lolich played 16 seasons in the major leagues for the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets and San Diego Padres. He had a career record of 217 wins and 191 losses. His lifetime earned run average was 3.44 and he had 2832 strikeouts and 1099 bases on balls in his career. He was a member of the 1968 Detroit Tigers championship team. He was also a member of the A.L. all-star team in 1969, 1971 and 1972. In 1968 he won the A.L. Babe Ruth Award and the World Series MVP award. He led the league in wins in 1971 (25) and in strikeouts (308). In 1967 he led the league in shutouts (6).
