Don Larsen played 14 seasons in the major leagues for the New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Athletics, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros/Colt 45’s and Chicago Cubs. He had a career record of 81 wins and 91 losses. His lifetime earned run average was 3.78 and he had 849 strikeouts and 725 bases on balls in his career. He was a member of the 1956 and 1958 New York Yankees championship teams. He was the recipient of the A.L. Babe Ruth Award and the World Series MVP in 1956. To this date, he has pitched the only perfect game in World Series history.
