Keith Hernandez played 17 years in the major leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets and Cleveland Indians. He has a lifetime batting average of .296 with 162 home runs, 426 doubles, 60 triples, 1124 runs scored and 1071 RBI’s in his major league career. He was a member of the 1982 St. Louis Cardinals and 1986 New York Mets world champion teams. He was a 5-time N.L. all-star between 1979 and 1987. In 1979 he tied for the N.L. MVP award, leading the league in batting average (.344), runs (116) and doubles (48) in that year. He also led the league in runs in 1980 (111). Keith won 11 consecutive N.L. Gold Glove awards between 1978 and 1988, and two Silver Slugger awards in 1978 and 1984.
