Charlie Hayes played 14 years in the major leagues for the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros. He had a lifetime batting average of .262 with 144 home runs, 251 doubles, 16 triples, 580 runs scored and 744 RBI’s in his major league career. He was a member of the 1996 New York Yankees championship team and caught the last out of that series to clinch the first world series victory for the Yankees in 18 years.
