Jerry Grote played 16 years in the major leagues for the New York Mets, Houston Colt 45’s, Los Angeles Dodgers and Kansas City Royals. He had a lifetime batting average of .252 with 39 home runs, 160 doubles, 22 triples, 352 runs scored and 404 RBI’s in his major league career. He was a member of the 1969 New York Mets championship team. Grote was also selected for the N.L. all-star team in 1968 and 1974.
