Bob Gibson played 17 seasons in the major leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals. He had a career record of 251 wins and 174 losses. His lifetime earned run average was 2.91 and he had 3117 strikeouts and 1336 bases on balls in his career. He was a member of the 1964 and 1967 St. Louis Cardinals championship teams. He was an 8-time N.L. all-star. In 1964 he won the Babe Ruth Award and World Series MVP. In 1967 he was the World Series MVP again, and in 1968 he was the N.L. Cy Young Award and MVP winner, leading the league in ERA (1.12) and strikeouts (268). In 1970, he won his 2 nd N.L. Cy Young award, leading the league in wins (23). Between 1965 and 1973, he won 9 consecutive Gold Glove awards. He led the N.L. in shutouts in 1962 (5), 1966 (5), 1968 (13) and 1971 (5). Gibson was admitted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981. He is currently available to appear at fundraisers, dinners, golf outings, trade shows, store promotions or to act as a corporate spokesperson, give a motivational talk or to sign premium and gift items for a corporation.
