Dean Chance played 11 seasons in the major leagues for the California Angels, Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Detroit Tigers. He had a career record of 128 wins and 115 losses. His lifetime earned run average was 2.92 and he had 1534 strikeouts and 1739 bases on balls in his career. He was a two-time AL All-Star in 1964 and 1967. He won the CY Young Award in 1964 with the Angels, while leading the league in ERA, shutouts and complete games that year.
