Paul Blair played 17 years in the major leagues for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds. He had a lifetime batting average of .250 with 134 home runs, 282 doubles, 55 triples, 776 runs scored, 134 RBI’s and 171 stolen bases in his major league career. He led the American league in triples with 12 in 1967 and sacrifice hits with 13 in 1969. He was a member of 4 World Series championship teams, the Baltimore Orioles in 1966 and 1970 and the New York Yankees in 1977 and 1978. He appeared in 2 all-star games, and won 8 gold gloves as an outfielder in 1967, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1975. Paul coached college baseball after his playing career.
